About Amalfi Coast Tours from Naples
This site is for travelers who have already chosen Naples as their base and want one good day on the Amalfi Coast: independent travelers staying in the city, cruise passengers with a day in port, families and couples. It compares the day tours that leave from Naples, from a hotel, the train station or the cruise port: which towns each one visits, how long you get in each, and what the price covers.
We do not cover Capri tours, cooking classes or Vesuvius-only trips. The one page about where to stay is about Naples as a base for these day trips.
How we compared the tours
We started with every Amalfi Coast listing that departs from Naples on GetYourGuide, 121 in all, and narrowed them to the 24 that have their own page on this site. The shortlist covers each kind of day: road trips by coach and minivan, small groups, private drivers, boat tours and the public ferry, cruise-port excursions and Pompeii combinations. Viator is our second source. We checked its Naples listings through the Viator Partner API and note where the same operator sells the same day on both platforms.
For every tour on the shortlist we recorded:
- The real price per person on a bookable date for two adults, checked between 22 and 30 October 2026. Private tours are quoted by party size, because the price per person falls as more people share the car.
- The rating and the exact review count as shown in October 2026, with ratings to one decimal place. Viator review counts include Tripadvisor reviews, and we say so.
- The itinerary, read stop by stop for the towns actually visited, the minutes of free time in each, the pickup or meeting points, and the return time where the operator states one.
- What is included and what is not: lunch, the Amalfi boat ride, Villa Rufolo tickets, the Pompeii entry ticket, hotel pickup.
- The three-star and lower reviews, read for recurring problems such as short stops, vehicle comfort or pickup changes. We paraphrase these, and we never quote or name reviewers, drivers or guides.
General facts, such as ferry timetables, train times, Pompeii and Villa Rufolo tickets, and road rules on the SS163, come from the operators and official bodies wherever possible: NLG, Travelmar, SITA SUD, EAV, the Fondazione Ravello and the Parco Archeologico di Pompei. Where two sources disagree, or only one source exists, we say so or leave the figure out. Every price carries the month it was checked.
What we do not do
We do not sell placements. No operator can pay to be listed, ranked higher or described more kindly, and the order of tours on a page comes from the itinerary, price, rating and review evidence above. We do not run tours, take bookings or handle payments ourselves.
How the site earns money
Amalfi Coast Tours from Naples is an affiliate site. When you book a tour through a link to GetYourGuide or Viator, or a hotel through a Stay22 link on our where-to-stay page, we may earn a commission from that platform. You pay the same price as you would going to the platform directly. The commission does not change which tours we recommend.
