From Naples: Boat Tour of Amalfi, Positano and Ravello

About This Experience
This 8 to 10 hour tour reaches the Amalfi Coast by sea. You are picked up in Naples at 7:40 AM at Starhotels Terminus (8:15 AM at Ercolano Scavi Circumvesuviana station for the Portici, Ercolano and Torre del Greco option), then ride about 15 minutes to the port at Torre del Greco. The boat crosses the Gulf of Naples and runs along the Sorrento coast to Amalfi. It passes Sorrento, the Baths of Queen Giovanna, Punta Campanella and Ieranto Bay on the way.
Prices depend on pickup and on whether you add Ravello. From Naples it is from $105 per person without Ravello (checked October 2026) and $151 with it. From Portici, Ercolano or Torre del Greco it is $94 without Ravello and $140 with it. Without Ravello you get 3.5 hours of free time in Amalfi and 1 hour in Positano. With Ravello you get 1 hour in Amalfi, 1 hour in Ravello (reached by minibus) and 1 hour in Positano.
The boat ride home takes about 70 minutes from Positano, and life jackets, onboard toilets and headsets for the commentary are included. Food, drinks and entry to attractions are not. Timing can change with sea conditions, and in the listing’s winter season free time drops to 2 hours in Amalfi and 1 hour in Positano. The voucher is exchanged for physical tickets on the day, so keep your phone charged.
Reviewers like the views from the water but report problems. Commentary equipment failed for several people, there were delayed dockings with little explanation, and one traveler called the day an expensive ferry ride with little guiding. Long waits at the first port, with little shade, were also mentioned. It suits travelers who want a day on the water and can treat the guide as a bonus, not the point.

What Travelers Say

Great to have a planned trip. However feels mostly like regular ferry, though smaller. The stop at Positano is a bit short.

Was great! The guides were helpful and knowledgable. Seeing the Amalfi Coast by water is incredible (much better than a long bus trip. Would definitely recommend!

This was well organised and ran to schedule. We took the Amalfi and Positano only option, but some of our fellow travellers took the Ravello option and really enjoyed it. It was very busy in the towns, but picturesque none the less. The transport was comfortable and it was a nice way to se a bit more of that part of Italy.
