From Naples: Positano and Amalfi Boat Tour with Drinks

About This Experience
This 11-hour small-group boat day mixes swimming, snorkeling and drinks with free time in Amalfi and Positano. You meet your driver in Piazza Giuseppe Garibaldi in Naples and ride by minivan to the port of Piano di Sorrento, where you board the boat with a skipper. The group is capped at 12. The tour in English and Italian is from $195 per person (checked October 2026).
The boat runs along the Sorrento coast past Marina Grande, the Roman villa ruins near Bagni della Regina Giovanna, cliffside waterfalls and Ieranto Bay. It stops a few times for swimming and snorkeling, plus a break with dry snacks and alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. In Amalfi you get 2 hours of free time, then the boat continues to Positano. A limoncello tasting follows before you head back to Sorrento and the van to Naples.
Bring swimwear and a towel. Snorkeling gear is extra (€15 for a mask, €9 for a snorkel), and a destination fee of €10 per person is paid in cash. Hotel pickup and drop-off are not offered. The tour depends on good weather, and if it is cancelled you can pick another date or a full refund. Pack a towel and sunscreen, since most of the day is spent on the water in the sun.
This tour is not suitable for cruise passengers, because the operator says you will not be back in Naples before about 20:00 or 20:15. Reviewers also report that the van ride to and from Piano di Sorrento is long, one said it took over two hours back, and the meeting point was hard to spot. It suits independent travelers who want a swim and a relaxed boat day, not a quick town visit.

The boat ride was fantastic- and the crew was awesome. It was so much fun and thank you for the sandwich and the delicious Prosecco for a perfect ending.

This trip was our absolute favorite thing we did in Italy! Everything was coordinated perfectly and we had so much fun seeing the Amalfi coast by boat. Would highly recommend!!

Excellent! I had a really great time and lots of Prosecco! The boat was very nice as well! I only wish we could stop in Amalfi for a little longer as there was not enough time to walk around and have lunch.. I chose to have delicious lunch in the restaurant 😁
