From Naples: Sorrento, Positano & Amalfi Premium Tour

About This Experience

This is a minivan day trip from Naples to Sorrento, Positano and Amalfi, run by WORLDTOURS S.r.l. with a storyteller-guide on board and a small-group format. Pickup is from one of 11 listed hotels and meeting points, and the Stazione Marittima is among them for cruise passengers. English, Italian, Spanish and French are listed, though the tour may run bilingual. Sorrento lies on the Sorrentine Peninsula, so it is the lemon-and-limoncello warm-up stop. The Amalfi Coast proper starts at Positano.

The order of the day is about 1 hour by road to Sorrento (70 minutes of free time), about 1 hour on to Positano (a 15-minute photo stop above the town, then 75 minutes of free time), about 1 hour to Amalfi (1.5 hours of free time), and roughly 75 minutes back to Naples. That adds up to around four hours on foot in the three towns and about four hours on the road, so plan on seeing the coast mostly through the window between stops.

Three versions are sold. The small-group option without lunch is from $71 per person, the version with a pre-arranged lunch is $99 and the one with the Amalfi boat ride is $89 (checked October 2026). You can also buy the boat ride in Amalfi for €15 per person, subject to availability. Tips are not included, and without the lunch option you choose your own meal in one of the towns. Water is available on request.

It suits first-timers who want three stops, a modest price and someone to explain the coast on the drive. It has 4.8 from 18,989 GetYourGuide reviews, the most of any tour on this site. The caveats from lower-rated reviews are an hour or so in Sorrento and Positano feeling short, an older or cramped vehicle on some departures, and the boat ride eating into lunch time. It is not suited to wheelchair users or anyone with mobility impairments.

What Travelers Say

Rated 4.8/5 by 18,989 verified GetYourGuide travelers.

I recommend this tour. We had a great guide, Maria. The driver, Antonio L., was also always on time and got us everywhere we needed to go. Amazing views, fantastic locations. Well worth it.

Imma is a charming and friendly tour guide with a great sense of humour. Giovanni managed to find an alternative route amidst the ongoing fuel strike and managed to find a route which still kept us on time - magic. it would have been great to do a few stops at some of the very impressive view points along the way.

It was a good trip. However, we were under the impression that a boat cruise along the coast was an option. When we arrived in Amalfi, the guide said, “Oh no. We don’t have time for that.” The cruise was the main reason we booked as we had been to Sorrento and Positano last December.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does the Sorrento, Positano and Amalfi small-group tour cost?

The no-lunch option is from $71 per person, the lunch option $99 and the Amalfi boat ride option $89 (checked October 2026).

How long do I get in each town?

About 70 minutes in Sorrento, 15 minutes at a photo stop plus 75 minutes of free time in Positano, and 1.5 hours in Amalfi. The drives between them take about 1 hour each, and the return to Naples about 75 minutes.

Is the boat ride included?

Only if you choose the boat option when booking. If you skip it, you can still buy the Amalfi boat ride on the day for about €15 per person, subject to availability and sea conditions.

Can cruise passengers book this tour?

The Stazione Marittima is a pickup point for cruise passengers, but the listing does not state a return time. The day is 8.5 hours, so check it against your all-aboard time before booking.

What if only two people book?

From April to October the tour runs with a minimum of 2 people. From November to March the minimum is 4, so a winter date can be cancelled if the group is too small.
