About This Experience

This is a minivan day trip from Naples to three coastal towns: Positano, Amalfi and Ravello. Pickup is at one of three points, Starhotels Terminus, Stazione Marittima or Bar Picnic, and the first drive takes about 75 minutes to a 10-minute food tasting in Meta. The van then continues to Positano for a 15-minute photo stop and a 75-minute visit. Group tickets are from $71 per person (checked October 2026), and a private option is from $313 per person for up to 8 people.

After Positano the van drives about an hour to Amalfi, where you get 1.5 hours of free time for the cathedral, the shops and the seafront. Then it is about 30 minutes uphill to Ravello, with 75 minutes on your own for a walk through the village and a look at the villa gardens. The drive back to the Naples drop-off points takes about 1.5 hours. The listing says the itinerary and departure time can change with the season.

Lunch and drinks are not included, so plan to eat in Amalfi or Ravello. Entry to Villa Rufolo and Villa Cimbrone is also extra, and Villa Rufolo sells standard adult tickets on site for €8. A boat ride in Amalfi is optional and costs €15, paid on site. Tips for the driver are optional. Luggage and large bags are not allowed in the vehicle, so bring a small day bag.

Time is the main trade-off. A few reviewers felt they had barely an hour at each stop and wanted longer in every town, one reported a pickup that ran about two hours late, and another had trouble with the minibus air conditioning during a July heatwave. The tour suits travelers who want Ravello added to Positano and Amalfi in one day and accept a brisk pace. It is not suitable for wheelchair users or people with mobility impairments.

What Travelers Say

Luca and Antonella did a great job. Great and safe chauffeur and enthusiastic and caring guide.

The only thing that put us off was that we had to wait for our driver for almost an hour early in the morning. We could have slept more. Then he came and neither him or the guide aologized to us. They acted like nothing happened. Apart of that, the quality of the car and the trip in general was great. One more thing: the guide repeated everything in 3 languages all the time and it got annoying a bit at times, especially when people were tired and wanted to rest.

The meeting point was easy to find, with good instructions. our guide Chiara was fabulous! She phoned 15 minutes before the meeting time to make sure we were OK. She was very knowledgeable and kind, giving us lots of historical information and some instructions on what to see at each town prior to the minibus stopping in the parking area. This gave us plenty of time to explore on our own. perfect for us!
